Some shots of our long trip back. Also shots of  Kathie, Ella Jiao and QiuLi in the spectacular new Beijing airport. Trip was hard and long and chaotic on all legs of the flight. I learned some new things though: for instance, the typical economy seat will hold up to an inch of standing water for around 15 minutes before starting to absorb into the cushion below.

Late Monday night – when QiuLi landed in Chicago, she became an American citizen. Also a couple of pictures of our arrival in the Austin Bergstrom Airport and Ella Jiao showing QiuLi some of her toys.

  1. I have really enjoyed following your journey to China. Great pics! We are going to Nanning as well and are hoping to travel sometime in June. (crossing fingers) We are adopting a 2 year old little girl from there, so it's been fun to see your photos of Nanning. Congrats on your adoption. Glad to see you made it back safely.
